Our Sunday Visitor’s Alive in Christ program teaches the meaning of worshiping God in community. The worship of God includes prayer and service. We give worship to God through the celebration of the Eucharist and all the sacraments. These are described as liturgy, which is the Church’s official public worship. Through a study of liturgy, the children become aware of Christ’s work of salvation. Study of the Old and New Testament guides your child to see in Jesus the fulfillment of all the Father has promised, as well as the perfect response to His love. Your child is encouraged to respond to God’s call to enter into a loving relationship with God and with the Church. This response manifests itself in love and care for all people.
They learn to participate more fully to give thanks and praise to God.
Required Prayers: Those from previous years and Hail Holy Queen and the Stations of the Cross.
Our Sunday Visitor religion program includes the study of Catholic doctrine and traditions, scripture, social justice, participation in prayer, liturgical worship experiences, instruction in and reception of the sacraments, and service to others.
