The Diocese of Shreveport will again host the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress from October 7-13, 2023. 

A Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress is the continual praying of the Rosary in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament for seven days and nights in a particular parish within a diocese, wrapping our country, our states, our cities, our dioceses, our families within the protective Heart of Mary. Also, the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress brings the Church into the safe harbor of Jesus in the Eucharist and Our Blessed Mother. This references the dream of St. John Bosco. By praying the Rosary before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary, we draw on the truths of our Faith and live our lives more closely united to Christ. 

On October 13, the Cathedral parish will host the twenty-four hours of Eucharistic Adoration and recite the Rosary at the top of each hour. We will begin the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress celebrating Mass at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Michael the Archangel. Followed by twenty-four hours of Adoration in the Chapel, which ends on October 14 at 5:00 p.m.

In the spirit of the Parish year of the Eucharistic Revival, we would like everyone to participate again in the Traveling Eucharistic Rosary Congress. We encourage all parishioners and families to sign up for one hour of Eucharistic Adoration and to pray the Rosary as a community. 

Let’s take this opportunity to evangelize to every soul, including our families, friends, and the young and old. Invite them to experience and learn about Adoration, the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist, the graces received, and Mary, the Mother of the Eucharist, who leads us to Him.
