The Didache Series

    Commitment – Dedication –  Effort

Welcome to the first year of Confirmation preparation. You might be wondering why I am preparing for Confirmation? Is it because of my parents? Is it because of my faith? Or you may not be sure. No matter the reason,  your parents, your sponsor and  your catechists will guide, teach and help you explore the reasons and God’s gift – the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Confirmation Preparation takes commitment, dedication and effort to bear and radiate the the goodness of the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit. The following expectations are provided to assist in your preparations.
  • Regularly attend Mass
  • Regularly attend and participate in class
  • Bring your Confirmation book to each class
  • Participate in class
  • Complete reading assignments and activities.
  • Complete the activities designated for parents, sponsors and the youth
  • Make up class work missed.  Lesson’s plans are posted two weeks prior to the class
  • Attend the Witnessing Sessions
  • Desire to deepen your relationship with God
You will find the class both challenging and rewarding. Your knowledge and understanding of Confirmation will expand.  But most importantly, your experience and relationship with God will deepen.

Prayer: Come Holy Spirit Come

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.
