Over 50 Group

Our Mission Statement:  The adult ministry of the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans has as its purpose to provide opportunities for fellowship and the building of relationships within the parish family for men and women over 50.  The ministry will be for, with and by the over 50 group.  Gatherings will: be of the social and enriching nature; take place on and off campus; be offered at varying times to meet the availability of all.

If you are over 50, consider joining us for our social and educational/enriching events.  The event days and times will vary to allow many to attend either all events or on occasion, for those retired, those working part-time or those not working. Event ideas being pursued include: day trips, guest speakers, meals, movies, classes on cooking, dance, finance, etc.

This ministry will bring people of like age and interest in order to provide a small group for those over 50.

The opportunities will grow as the group begins to plan events to be hosted on-campus or organize gatherings at events within the city.  Many events will give us the opportunity to also invite our friends to attend.

If you are interested in attending, or helping plan events, or both, please contact Dotye by email or call the office, 318-221-5296.
