Summer Camps + VBS 2018

Register for our Cathedral Summer Camps now!

St. John Berchmans Parish & School offer Summer Camps beginning in June!

Includes a variety of programs for children K5-8th grade, such as Vacation Bible School, Sports, Art, STEM, Robotics, Life Skills, Board Games, Tinkering & Drama.

You can register for programs for your children – for 7 full weeks of summer camps, with our all day program option.

Full Day Sessions:

7:30 am-5:30 pm, $200/week plus supply fees*. Lunch will be provided for students enrolled in full day sessions.

Half Day Options:

7:30-12:00 pm,  $100/week, plus supply fees*.
1:00 – 5:30 pm,  $100/week, plus supply fees*. 

*Supply Fees:
Drama Camp- $25 supply fee for all camps
Art Camp- $50 for half day and $100 for full day camps
Family Discount available for children enrolled in SPORTS CAMPS
FULL DAY: 1 child = $200; 2 children = $350; 3 children = $450; each additional child is $50
HALF DAY: 1 child = $100; each additional child is $50

DRAMA:

Peter Pan June 11 – 15 & June 18 – 22 (Two Weeks) Roles for all ages. Learn how to put on a show in two weeks.
Special Performance on Friday, June 22nd. Learn stage direction, music, and the enjoyment of performing. Includes Summer Workshop t-shirt.
Sing! Sing! Sing! July 9 – 13 Your song and your choreography equals a fun performance
for family and friends on Friday, July 13. Includes Summer Workshop t-shirt.
Mixed Up Fairy Tales July 23 – 27 & July 31 – August 3 (Two Weeks) Roles for all ages. Learn how to put on a show in two weeks.
Students will work on the set, the costumes, the music and the performance, which will be held Friday, August 3rd. Includes Summer Workshop t-shirt.

LIFE SKILLS:

SPORTS CAMPS:

Come and enjoy a week of fun. Camp includes classic team games such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, cricket, and individual games like pickle ball, badminton, human tic-tac- toe, as well as your classic PE games like capture the flag, load-em up, doctor doctor, dodge ball and many more.  Coach Woodham will be the camp counselor and he has over 17 years experience of coaching youth sports, PE, and running summer camps. Don’t miss out on the fun!!!

 

STEM CAMPS:

Tinkering Camp June 25 – 29
Morning
We will take apart electronic items without damaging them. We will learn the proper use for tools. We will then design and make a 3-D sculpture with the parts. Campers will also have the option of making usable items/toys from the parts, for example, using the fan from a CPU and making a container for it, then adding a battery and switch.
Robotics Camp June 25 – 29
Afternoons
We will learn how to program a Lego EV3. Campers will have different task to attempt to complete using an ev3 robot.
STEM Camp July 16-20 STEM is Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
Robots: paint on canvas, add lights and motorize something, make wobblebots
Music day: harmonica, drums, rain stick,
Chemical day: minto coke, slime, different type of slime, “melt” Styrofoam
Lego day: build rubber band car, build balloon car, parachute person
Friday: SURPRISE

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL:

Join us for “Shipwrecked – Rescued by Jesus” Vacation BIble Schools this year. This program is for K5-6th graders and will take place Monday – Friday, June 11 -15, from 9am to 12:05pm. $50 per camper.
