We have begun our second session of Embrace Grace here at SJB. In the last session, we walked with six brave single girls through their unplanned pregnancy, sharing with each of them that they were a Beloved Daughter of God and that God had a plan for them and their baby, which was Good.
With prayers from everyone in our faith community, I am happy to share that all six babies were born healthy, and we can’t get enough of the pictures they share with us.
Our new group began on September 5th, and we are reaching out to 10-12 single brave girls this time. We have incredible volunteers who offer a meal for our brave girls each week. At the last meeting of our sessions, we have a special celebration meal; at that time, we give the brave girls a “Go Bag” for the hospital. The bag includes a robe, slippers, lotion, and a Catholic Bible. Finally, after completing the journey with them, we host a baby shower for all the brave girls. With the generosity of our faith community, this an incredible event filled with Love and strength for these brave girls.
We are asking for your prayerful discernment to offer donations for this ministry. We will need help with the “Go Bags,” Shower gifts, and any monetary gift you may want to offer to keep this ministry going.
Baby Shower and Donations
You are welcome to come to the baby shower on Saturday, November 18th, in the Parish Hall. It would be such a blessing for these brave girls to witness the Love our whole community has for these girls who Chose Life! Amen! We will continue to share updates and details on these events.
