“Month of the Family“– Cathedral Style
The Month of the Family began on December 31, the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Remember our Celebration of the Family with a Family Chili dinner and Cook-off on Sunday, January 21, at 12:00 noon in the Parish Hall for all parishioners, their families and friends. You can have a hot dog, a chili dog, Frito pie, or a cup or bowl of chili! If you would like to make a pot of chili, register for the Chili Cook-off, or RSVP for the dinner, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Church Office 221-5296.
I hope all of you and your family received a copy of one of the Month of the Family booklets and have read and talked with your family about planning your “Special Menu and Recipe” with all members lending their ideas. Last weekend you should have read the “Dinner’s Ready” & “Gathering at the Table” and discussed why we should gather around the table as Christ gathered with His apostles. This week your family will be discussing the “First Course – Entrée” and “Veggie-tables – Gotta have’em”! The following week, January 20/21 you will be finishing up with “Starches or Stretches?” and “Take Time to Sip”. There are extra booklets in the back of the Church or in the Church Office. Don’t forget to bring, email or send your recipe by the end of the month.
We are the Body of Christ,
the Family of God
