Mark your calendars and plan to attend our Sunday, November 26,
Parish Feast Day Celebration on the Feast of St. John Berchmans!

The day will include:

  • A special time for Veneration of the St. John Berchmans’ relic in the Cathedral after the 8am & 11am Masses.
  • Exhibit and talks centered on our Patron and on the Archaeological Dig on Texas Avenue.
  • Presentation of our new SJB parish history book.
  • Mass at 11:00am with Bishop Duca, followed by our another opportunity for veneration.
  • Join us for our Parish Family Picnic at Noon!! Hamburgers, Hot Dogs!  Bingo!! Prizes for Kids & Adults!!
  • Plan to go to our Texas Avenue dig site and be a part of history in the making as we bless our State Historical marker at the site of our First Church and School!

Our Feast Day celebration is in 2 weeks and this exciting day will be filled with great events – following the morning Masses, we will offer veneration of our St. John Berchmans’ Heart Relic. We will have an exhibit of SJB holy cards and artifacts from the dig site with talks, along with the presentation of our new SJB history book.  Bishop Duca will celebrate the 11:00 Mass. Our Parish Picnic and Bingo will follow Mass. Then at 1:30, all will converge on the site of our first church and school as Bishop Duca blesses the State Historical Marker. This is a day you do not want to miss!


8:00am:   Mass, followed by
Veneration of St. John Berchmans’ Heart Relic

9:15am:   St. John Berchmans &
Archaeological Exhibits + Talks, Parish Hall
Presentation of the new SJB History Book

11:00am:  Mass with Bishop Duca, followed by
Veneration of SJB Heart Relic

12:00pm:  Parish Family Picnic:
Hamburgers & Hot Dogs prepared by the
Knights of Columbus & other SJB volunteers
including our Councils, St. Vincent de Paul, Over 50 & Outreach

Bingo Games: called by our SJB clergy & leaders
– PRIZES for adults & children!

1:30pm:   Gathering on Texas Avenue at the site
of our first SJB Church & School
Blessing of the site’s State Historical Marker with Bishop Duca
