O God, whose will it is that all should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth…
stir up, we pray, the hearts of your faithful and grant that they may feel a more urgent call
to work for the salvation of all…   (From the Mass Prayers: For the Evangelization of Peoples)

You can’t LOVE what you don’t know…

What does the Catholic Church teach about…?   and why?
The Bible exhorts Christians to“always be ready to give a defense to anyone who asks you for the hope that is in you,   but do it with gentleness & respect”        (1 Peter 3:15-16).
It also encourages us to “earnestly contend for the Faith” (Jude 1:3).

Watch this video: “What is APOLOGETICS?”
Here is the transcript of the video:
Apologetics comes from the Greek word: apología “speaking in defense”   and the Latin: apológia   “a justification or an explanation”.   Apologetics does NOT mean “apologize”… being “sorry” for one’s faith. Apologetics is about truth!
APOLOGETICS involves telling people TRUTH about God,   truth about the COSMOS… about why we’re HERE.   Apologetics defends the BIBLE:   it explains SALVATION,   it answers questions and challenges about JESUS CHRIST.   Apologetics is about speaking the truth in love.

APOLOGETICS is about defending, without being defensive: the Sacraments, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Saints, the Holy Eucharist, the Church Christ established… and much more… you will learn how communicate these truths to your FAMILY and friends.

Why is this important?   Because your Catholic faith is not just something you do for an hour a week on Sundays; it’s something you LIVE, it’s who you ARE.

Be ready to give people the ANSWERS to their questions.   Knowing Apologetics gives you real, practical solutions to people’s everyday problems; it will improve your relationships.   Countless people just like you want to learn how to: explain our faith more INTELLIGENTLY defend it more charitably and share it more effectively. Apologetics will teach you how to: “Be not afraid.” (Pope St. John Paul II). We will help you learn, live and love your Catholic faith more than before.
